It seems that people were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new iPhones.
Apple has revealed that more than 13 million units of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have been sold during their launch weekend. This marks a new record for the tech giant as last year the new iPhones sold 10 million units during their first weekend.
This number means that Apple managed to sell 3000 phones per minute, which rounds up to 50 devices per second. Now this is a colossal figure which underscores the popularity of the brand among the masses.
Along with the reveal of this impressive number, Apple announced that both iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will be making their way to 40 additional countries on October 9.
The phones will start to roll out in Italy, Russia, Taiwan, Spain, and Mexico, and will then make their way to other countries as well. Before the end of this year, Apple is aiming to make its new offerings available in over 130 countries.
