It has been reported that Apple has spent over $38 million on the advertisements of its upcoming smartwatch.

Apple is about to launch its highly anticipated smart watch in a couple of weeks and to hype up the fans for their new product, the company has been placing ads in different primetime spots so that more and more people can become aware of Apple’s latest offering.

According to the latest figures revealed by iSpot.tv, Apple has spent more than $38 million on the marketing of upcoming watch since showing it off at the event that took place on March 9.

This figure becomes even more impressive when you compare it to the amount spent on the marketing of Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. In the period of last five months, the tech giants have spent almost $42 million on TV ads for their latest mobile phones.

That’s understandable though because Apple Watch is something new and the company wants to spread the word. On the other hand, iPhones are a force to be reckoned and almost everyone who has even a little bit of interest in smartphones is already aware of them.

As of today, Apple Watches will be available in the stores for preview and for pre-order, but you will have to wait for a few days to get your hands on them as they are scheduled to officially release on April 24.

The cheapest model of Apple Watch will cost you $349, whereas the most expensive sports edition will be available at the price of $17000.
