The update is also said to include two coveted features.
Rogers, a Canada-based carrier, has revealed that Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will receive Android 5.1 Lollipop update by the end of next month.
Although, the month mentioned as a release date is June, it is also stated that it’s “subject to change.”
We have been hearing some rumors about the new update lately which claim that it would bring a new Guest Mode feature to both Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Furthermore, this update is said to be bringing the option that would allow you to snap RAW photos.
Both of the features mentioned above made their way to Android phones with Android 5.0, but Samsung decided to exclude them from their latest iterations. However, it seems that the wait will be over soon as the users will be able to get their hands on these features again next month.
Android 5.1 Lollipop update is not much of a major overhaul compared to 5.0, but it does bring in some small stability changes and takes care of few of the issues here and there.
This is the first time we have heard anything about the release date of next update, which is why we’d advise you to take the news with the grain of salt until an official announcement is made by Samsung or Google.
