Android 7.1 is Coming to Google Nexus

Google has announced that Android 7.1 update, which contains a ton of new features, will only be available for their own smartphones aka Nexus and Pixel devices.

They haven’t yet publicized what the new features would be but the tech giant did reveal that the developer beta for the 7.1 update will be made available for Nexus 5X, 6P, and Pixel C devices by the end of October.

However, it doesn’t mean that other Google devices would be ignored, but they will have to wait for a couple of extra months. Android 7.1 update for every other Google device will release in December.

As of now, the tech giant seems adamant on releasing the update exclusively for its own devices, but that might change in the future.
