Apple is Working on a 4-Inch Display Phone, Scheduled to be Unveiled in March

It is based on the design of iPhone 5s, but would contain the features of a modern phone.

According to a new report, Apple is planning to reveal a new phone in March that will not be iPhone 7. Instead, this device will be named iPhone ‘5se’ (se stands for Special Edition), and as the name suggests, it will be based on the design of iPhone 5s. This sudden change of design is for the people who don’t crave big screens and like their phones to be small.

The report says that it will be a 4-inch device with curved glass display, will include an A8 chip, and support an 8MP camera. This new phone will also feature NFC, which means that users will be able to benefit from Apple Pay, a barometric sensor, and will be able to shoot live photos. Although live photos are said to be a part of the phone, don’t expect to see 3D Touch on it.

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s were not a failure by any means. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Apple had its “best year ever” in 2015, but it seems that a lot of people are still not sold on the idea of a bigger screen, and want a phone that fits in their palms. iPhone 5se is aiming to cater to that particular audience.
