Apple Watch is doing better than the expectations.
Fans were eagerly awaiting the arrival of Apple Watch and it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that it sold really well. However, one question that everyone had in their mind was how well it did compared to other Apple products, to which CEO Tim Cook has answered.
According to Cook, Apple Watch sold way faster than iPhones and iPads, which is saying something because both of these products are fan favorite and people stay in lines for days just to get their hands on them. Apple Watch ranks highest amongst the competitors as well. It is currently outselling the likes of Samsung and Motorola.
In June, Slice Intelligence came up with a research estimating that 2.79 million units of Apple Watch have been sold since its launch in April. This analysis was based on the receipt emails that were sent by Apple to the buyers.
Apple expects that by the end of 2015, more than 15.4 million units of Apple Watch would have been shipped to retailers. If that happens, Apple will have 54.8% of the market share in the global smartwatch market.
