The said iPhone will be able to charge wirelessly even at a distance instead of relying on contact with a charging mat.
Apple is reportedly working on an iPhone for 2017 that would feature an improved version of wireless charging. According to Bloomberg, the enhanced version of wireless charging technology would be able to charge the device even from a distance.
The tech giant and its various competitors are already using the wireless charging technology, but it requires the device to be placed on a charging mat. The extended range wireless charging feature will definitely come as a huge relief for users as they won’t be required to leave their devices on a charging mat or pad.
According to The Verge, the next iPhone, presumably called iPhone 7, is highly unlikely to get this feature.
