Avatar: The Last Airbender is an American animated television series which was shown in Nickelodeon. It consists of 20 episodes from February 21, 2005  to December 2, 2005 mostly known as the season 1 or book 1: Water . The series was created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko,  and starred Zach Tyler Eisen, Mae Whitman, Jack DeSena, Mako, Dante Basco, and Jason Isaacs as the main character voices.

The season is mostly all about the protagonist, Aang( the avatar), and his friends katara and sokka and their journey to the north pole to find a good waterbending teacher for  Aang and Katara.  The fire lord Ozai, curent lord of fire nation , is wagging a war against the other three nation The Earth Kingdom , The Water Tribes and the already vanished Air Nomads. The current avatar ,Aang , must master all the four elements – Air , water , earth and fire in order to defeat the fire lord and also regain peace and prosperity in the world. In their journey to North pole , Aang and his friends are chased various times by the banished price Zuko and admiral Zhao, a key member of the Fire Navy.

The story is quite entertaining and it has entertained an audience much beyond the children with its crisp animation and layered storytelling. Its made in such a way that after the end of each episodes you feel like watching more. I think you would love it , if you like animation series like naruto and inuyasha.
