PS4 has been enjoying an amazing year with the titles like Monster Hunter World, Shadow of the Colossus, Yakuza 6, and God of War already released. However, we are not done yet as biggest PS4 games 2018 are still coming. We are still scheduled to get some awesome games this year, and we are pretty sure that you will be broke by the end of the year. 2017 was regarded as one of the best years for gaming, but 2018 is looking to eclipse it by quite some margin.
Biggest PS4 Games 2018
If we start to outline each and every release happening in 2018, then it will become quite a long list, instead we will be focusing on some of the major releases that are happening this year. If your highly anticipated game or games don’t make the cut, don’t be disappointed, as it doesn’t mean that it’s not a big deal. So, without further ado, let’s get to it – let’s shed light on few of the biggest PS4 games that will be coming our way by the end of 2018.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Square Enix announced the game some time ago, but they have recently come out with the reveal trailer, which shows Lara questioning her path. It seems that the game will once again take a dark tone, but this time, it will have an actual conclusion. The developers have stated that the final game in the trilogy will open a path of tomb raiding for Lara, so it will be interesting to see how things go. If you have liked the previous entries, then you are sure to love the new one as well, but if you didn’t enjoy them, then there’s nothing much to see here as the game plays almost the same as the previous entries.
Detroit Become Human
David Cage has produced some really good games. Some sit well with the audience while some don’t. However, all of his titles have received great reception from the critics and it seems that this trend will continue with Detroit Become Human. The game is scheduled to come out later this month, but a demo has already been released on the PlayStation Store and is getting huge praise all around the globe. If you haven’t had a chance to play it, then do give it a shot, as it is one hell of an experience. People usually ignore these games because they don’t know what to expect. However, with a demo available in the store, you can try the game out for yourself and decide if you like it or not.
Dark Souls Remastered
People have been clamoring for Dark Souls Remastered and it is finally happening. It was the only game that didn’t make its way to the new gen machines, so there was a lot of demand for it. Now, it is finally happening and the best part is that the launch isn’t that far away either. Dark Souls Remastered is scheduled to come out during the final week of this month, and just like all of the Souls series, expect to see a ton of people at launch. Play with or against other people or go in solo, the choice is all yours.
Dragon Quest XI
One of the longest running franchises that have managed to maintain quality throughout will receive a new entry this year. Dragon Quest XI already launched in Japan and was amongst the biggest PS4 games there. The western release is schedule to happen this September and people just can’t wait to get their hands on it. The game is built on a new engine and looks absolutely fantastic. The gameplay has stayed the same, so the old-school JRPG fans are in for a treat.
Officially, EA hasn’t revealed Battlefield V, but pretty reliable sources have claimed that this year’s entry will go to World War 2. After the amazing World War 1 setting, the developers have shifted their focus on to the Second World War, and we are expecting it to be equally amazing. EA always delivers on multiplayer front and we are sure that they will not disappoint this time around either.
Yakuza Kiwami 2
Yakuza is slowly, but surely making its way to the new gen consoles. It all started with Yakuza 0 last year, which came and took everyone by surprise. Yakuza Kiwami followed in its footsteps and was another great entry in the series. Now, we have Yakuza 6 already out, but those of you who missed out on the series, might want to keep an eye on Yakuza Kiwami 2 first. Yakuza 2 is regarded rightfully as the best game in the series, so if you didn’t get a chance to play it before, then you have to give it a shot once it releases this August.
Spider-Man is a huge deal especially now that there are multiple movies dedicated to him. The game is looking unreal and quite frankly, gaming community has been waiting a long time for a decent Spider-Man title, and this looks like it may just do the trick. The game looks and feels amazing, and we just cannot wait to get our hands on it. Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer as the game is scheduled to release in the beginning of September.
Red Dead Redemption II
Regarded as one of the best games of last generation, Red Dead Redemption is receiving a sequel, which is actually a prequel to the events that transcribed in the original. The game will put us in the shoes of one Arthur Morgan, as he and his posse try to take control over the Wild West. Rockstar Games has only released one game this generation and that too was a port of a last gen game. Things however are about to change as Rockstar is going to be releasing its very first game on this gen. Expectations are extraordinarily high, but we have faith in the developers. Rockstar doesn’t have a history of failing so expect Red Dead Redemption II to be another hit from the infamous developer.
