Oculus Rift VR Headset's Controller Concept Art Leaked

Concept Art of Oculus Rift VR Headset’s Controller Leaked Online

The image is of the older version, but some hints from it will be present in the final version.

We have been waiting for virtual reality scene to grow for quite some time now but had no luck. However, Oculus Rift VR Headset is looking to change that. We have learned a whole lot about this new headset since its reveal, but one thing that had been left in the dark was its controller. That changed as of today when a concept art image of the controller leaked on the web.

You can check out the said image posted above.

After the leak, it became a hot topic on the internet, but soon after, co-founder of Oculus Rift Palmer Luckey spoiled the party as he stated that this image is of an early concept of the controller. The current version which is yet to be revealed is said to have changed a lot from this early concept, though some aspect of the leaked version will be present in the latest version.

“This is an old placeholder concept image that we accidentally leaked. Everything in it is ancient, certainly nowhere close to final (as evidenced by the GPU specs and the game named “war”). Enjoy checking it out, at this point, but don’t expect everything to carry through to the stream on the 11th.”

It is indeed a disappointment that the revealed image is not of the latest version, but the good news is that Oculus Rift is holding a pre-E3 conference tomorrow where they might provide us with our first look at the latest version of the controller. The press conference will begin at 10 AM PT and will surely have a lot in store for the VR enthusiasts.
