The first Destiny game was a huge success, but there was just one problem – new content released for the game took a lot of time. Developers have realized that this long wait really put off a lot of people, which is why they are planning to release “steady stream” of content for Destiny 2.
“The incredible demand for Destiny content has somewhat outpaced our ability to deliver upon that demand, and going forward along with our partners at Bungie, have put together what we believe is a very smart approach that will allow us to deliver the steady stream of great content to keep our players engaged and keep our universe alive and growing in the wake of that sequel.”
This statement was made during Activision’s financial briefing that took place earlier today. In the same briefing, developers assured that the development on Destiny 2 is going smoothly and it will most likely stick to its release date of fall 2017.
Destiny 2 was confirmed to be in development a long time ago, but due to developer’s focus on the first game, they were not willing to talk about it. However, now that the original Destiny is done and dusted, we will surely be hearing about the sequel real soon.
