Today, EA revealed its intention of bringing more games on to Nintendo Switch but there is a condition for that. If the users want to see more EA games come to their platform, they would want to get their hands on FIFA 18.
In a recent statement, EA’s executive vice president, Patrick Söderlund stated that the company is willing port some of its popular titles on to Switch if FIFA 18 does well on the platform.
“We believe that we want to be a part of the Switch, and help Nintendo grow that installed base; that’s why you’ll see FIFA, which by the way is really good this year. It’s a full-fledged FIFA game, for the first time to be honest, on a portable device. But at the same time we have to look at it from a resource standpoint and, at some point, the numbers become a factor”
EA will go where the consumers are like every other business. They have not released a lot of games on Nintendo platforms before because they just felt there was never an audience for their titles. However, if FIFA 18 goes on to do well on the platform, it would be hard to argue why the new titles shouldn’t be on Switch.
