The new feature will give a customized touch to the social networking platform by creating category-based feeds.
Facebook is reportedly working on a new feature which would allocate different categories to the News Feed. In other words, you would see multiple feeds, each based on a specific category like “style”, “travel”, etc.
Each News Feed would fetch relevant stories from different pages and profiles. You may go to any specific feed for getting customized information. This will save the time you spend browsing the feeds in search of relevant and interesting news.
Jason Stein, an SEO of a social media agency, was the first one to spot the feature. Facebook spokesperson also stepped forward to confirm the news. In an emailed statement, he said that “People have told us they’d like new options to see and have conversations about more stories on Facebook around specific topics they’re interested in.”
The feature is currently being tested and available to only a handful of people. It is still not confirmed if and when it will see the light of day.
