Facebook Messenger is used by millions of people who own a smartphone, so it’s not surprising that they do most of their messaging on it. However, for group calling, people had to resort to other apps like Skype. That won’t be the case anymore because the tech giant is now letting users make group calls with up to 50 people through Facebook Messenger as well.
This will be a huge step forward because in its current state, Messenger offers almost everything, including instant messaging, calling, video calling, emoji, and GIFs. And by adding group calls to the midst, Facebook has a chance to become the one big messaging platform for everyone.
The group call feature has started to roll out for both iOS and Android and will reach all users within the next 24 hours.
