The post format has made its way to the iOS devices worldwide.
In an effort to provide quality music to its users right on their Timeline, Facebook has introduced a new feature that lets you preview a 30-second clip of songs streamed from Spotify or Apple Music. The videos will directly be added in your News Feeds for an easier access.
If you like the song or album, then you may listen to the full track by clicking the link or saving it to the respective music service from which it belongs. You can also share the song you like by copying its link and pasting it on your Facebook Status Update. Every link you share will turn into a playable widget with album art.
The feature does not require you to install Spotify or Apple Music on your device.
“We will expand Music Story support for additional streaming music services soon”, Facebook stated in its blog post.
The feature is currently limited to the iOS users worldwide. There is still no word on when the feature will be available for Android users, if Facebook ever considers it.
