Facebook testing Snapchat-like Photo Editor for iOS

Facebook Snapchat-like New Photo Editor Lets You Overlay Text, Stickers and More

This feature is in its testing phase right now, and is only available for iOS version of Facebook app.

Facebook is testing an interesting feature in its photo editor  that allows you to customize your photos and make them more attractive as well as interesting by adding text into them, previewing swipeable filters, and applying resizable emoji.

You can try this feature by clicking on the new button present at the bottom-left corner of the image. It will take you to the enhancement tray where you can select the changes you want. You can change the filters by dragging your finger across the photo. In the same way, you can add text in any color you want. Users can also crop the image and tag friends in it.

Facebook didn’t mention as to who can get access to this feature in its testing phase, but if you have updated Facebook to latest version on iOS, then chances are you can try this Snapchat-like feature.

Facebook Snapchat feature is something the company always wanted, which is why it placed a bid of $3 billion in 2013 to acquire Snapchat, but the offer was turned down. Later, Facebook tried to create its replica under the name Poke and Slingshot, but nothing really worked. Meanwhile, a Japanese messaging app LINE also became popular due to its stickers. This is the reason Facebook plans on launching its own version of Snapchat just to reinforce its dominance in social networking.

This feature is a proof that Facebook is trying hard to provide everything it can to its customers.
