Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg to take 2 Months Leave after Baby’s Birth

He pointed to studies highlighting the importance of spending time with newborn for taking such a decision.

Mark Zuckerberg has recently shared his plans to step away from his business for straight 2 months right after the arrival of his first baby. The CEO of Facebook pointed out the studies which supports the fact that spending quality time with newborns can have a positive impact not only on children, but also on the working parents.

“Every day things are getting a little more real for us, and we’re excited to start this next stage in our lives.” Zuckerberg stated in a Facebook post.

Facebook offers 4 months of paid maternal and paternal leaves for its U.S employees which can be taken at once or throughout the first year of birth.

The couple revealed the pregnancy news on Facebook earlier this year in July.

There is still no word on who will be running the company during Zuckerberg’s absence.
