Five Reasons You Should Go For Xbox One Rather Than PS4

A lot of people have now gotten their hands on PlayStation 4 as its sales continues to impress, while Xbox One is lagging behind by quite some margin. However, if you are among the people who haven’t bought a console just yet and looking to buy one, then we suggest you go for Xbox One even when it has lower install base. Why, you ask? Well in this article, we will try to address this question and hopefully convince you.

More Exclusives

Exclusive titles are one of the main reasons people are attracted to a console and Xbox One has a lot to offer in this area. Last year, it rolled out one of the best racing experiences in shape of Forza Horizon 2, along with action-adventure title Sunset Overdrive. Xbox One line-up for this fall is shaping to be the best one yet though. The owners of Microsoft’s current generation console will be able to get their hands on the highly-anticipated Halo 5: Guardians. Although this title alone is worth purchasing the console, Microsoft is going all in as it is also releasing Rise of the Tomb Raider, sequel to the highly acclaimed reboot of Tomb Raider. Sony, on the other hand, hasn’t announced any exclusive for this fall as of yet, so the force is strongly with Xbox One here.

Better Online Experience

Now this area hardly warrants a debate. If you have used both Xbox Live and PSN, then you would be aware that the former outperforms the latter on almost all fronts. Current gen is mostly online and you obviously wouldn’t want your experience to suffer in any way. Xbox One ensures that and allows you constant connectivity to its services. PSN has remained pretty stable in 2015 as compared to 2014, but uncertainty still surrounds it.

Now this has got a lot to do with personal preference to be honest. Some users like Xbox One controller whereas some people adore PS4’s controller. But in my own humble opinion, Xbox One has a better controller with stronger grip and analog stick on the left side. The only downside with Xbox 360’s controller was that it featured an awkward d-pad. This problem has thankfully been sorted out on Xbox One.

If you want to use your console for more than just gaming, then Xbox One is definitely the right choice for you. It comes with a huge collection of apps that will most definitely cater to all of your needs. You can even watch TV on your Xbox One. Although this feature has attracted a lot of skepticism, you’ll see how it can be helpful once you dig deep.

Software Updates

A new update for Xbox One is released every month and they all bring along a slew of new features. Unlike PS4, these updates are completely safe to download and will not harm your console in any way. After early missteps, Microsoft has learned its lessons and it seems that they are actually committed to their fan-base. So far, it looks like Microsoft is going to win this fall unless Sony comes up with a blockbuster announcement to steal the spotlight.
