What better way to raise the value of your shares than partnering with one of the most popular singing sensation of the current era? That is exactly what Glu Mobile, the developer that brought us Diner Dash, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and Zuma among other popular hits, has done to get its shares to rise by 22% to $2.52 on Wednesday.
The renowned mobile games developer has joined hands with none other than the Grammy-award winning Taylor Swift, yes the version pop star that gave us songs like ‘Love Story’, ‘Blank Space’, ‘Bad Blood’, etc., to develop a new game. The partnership has been described as a “multi-year” one, with the game slated for a late-2016 release, most likely in Fall.
Glu Mobile’s chief executive Niccolo de Masi admitted that Swift’s fans across the globe expect nothing but an original masterpiece, an expectation that the developer feels confident of being able to meet.
This is the first time the 26-year-old Pennsylvania-based singer is foraying into the mobile gaming space. Swift now finds herself on the star-studded list of Glu Mobile’s partners, including the beautiful Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian, rapper Nikki Minaj, Transporter star Jason Statham, and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
