Google and DJ Skrillex join hands to introduce live cases for Nexus, Galaxy phones

Google introduces limited-edition Skrillex Live Android cases

Google collaborated with DJ Skrillex to design limited edition live Smartphone Cases for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 4.

Google has announced Editions, a program in which the tech giant will team up with influencers to create limited edition themed Android cases. The first partnership is now live, and it is with none other than DJ Skrillex, the king of wub-dub.

The first edition consists of only three themed cases that are obnoxiously named as Space Shield, Lil Planet and Circuit Bae. These cases are available on Google Store at a fair price of $40 each.

The cases come with a companion app that shows live wallpaper having images of Earth taken from stratosphere during the day. At night, it shows constellations based on user’s location.

These cases are connected with Nanou, a satellite Google recently launched, for sending satellite images to the user’s smartphone.

Not only this, users can also get VIP access to Skrillex work whether it’s a free OWSLA album or recent updates from Skrillex. There is also a shortcut button on the smartphone casing to his YouTube channel.

According to Google, Skrillex Live Cases will be available until the end of June or until supplies run out.

Google hasn’t revealed the names of other artists who it will be collaborating with future lines of live cases.
