Google’s parent company Alphabet is all set to sell Boston Dynamics, a robotic subsidiary it acquired back in 2013.
According to Bloomberg, top management at Alphabet has decided to take this move after realizing that robotics division won’t be able to generate substantial amount of income within next few years.
The tech giant acquired Boston Dynamics in hope of generating revenues by delivering low-cost robots within minimum time. However, the company failed to create marketable products due to several reasons such as changes in management and clashes between the members of robotics team.
According to the rumors, Amazon.com and Toyota Research Institute are interested in acquiring the robotics company.
