Google Launches Android N Developer Preview Ahead of Schedule

I/O developer conference is scheduled to take place in May and this is where we were expecting to get our first look at the next Android N operating system. However, Google doesn’t want us to wait that long as it has made the developer preview of the OS available as an over-the-air update as of today.

Hiroshi Lockheimer, Google’s SVP for Android, Chrome OS, and Chromecast, explains that this update has been released this early because they wanted to get feedback before I/O conference. This way they’ll be able to present an enhanced version of it at the event.

Android N will roll out for public with a bunch of new features, including a split-screen view, picture-in-picture mode, improvements in Doze, less memory requirement, and much more.
