Google’s Hands Free Payment App is Now Live in Sans Francisco

In an effort to make the payment process easier and simpler, Google has released the pilot version of a new payment app named Hands Free. Residents of Southern Sans Francisco Bay Area can now use the app to make payment on select eateries including McDonald’s and Papa John’s.

The Android and iOS app uses Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and location services to connect your device with the point of sale system, after which you can make the payment without even taking out your device. To attract more users, Google is offering $5 off of the first transaction made through the app. The tech giant says that the app is still in its initial stages and that the company will continue to make improvements in it on the basis of feedback received from its users.
