Google's Project Fi Free for a Day

Google’s Project Fi is Free for a Day

You can try out the service to see if it’s to your liking or not.

Google’s Project Fi service is available only on limited smartphones, so understandably it doesn’t have as wide of an audience as the tech giant would like. Knowing that, Google is offering Project Fi for free for the next 24 hours to anyone in United States. This offer coincides with the launch of LG’s Nexus 5X which comes with the support for Project Fi.

It is certainly a good move from Google, allowing Nexus 5X users to get their hands on Project Fi without any payment. This way they will be able to know ins and outs of the service and can register to it if they like it.

Those of you unfamiliar with Project Fi should know that it’s a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) service that charges $20 a month for voice and text, and each gigabyte of cellular data will cost $10. However, if you haven’t used up all of the data that you paid for, it will then be transferred to the next month’s plan. This means that you will only be charged for the data that you actually use.

If you are interested in trying out this service for a day, get yourself registered right here.
