Pokemon Go servers stopped working over the past weekend, which stopped a lot of users from playing the game. Later, it was revealed that servers went out due to DDoS attacks, but no one was able to figure out who were the culprits behind all this.
It seems like finding those hackers would be a huge problem, but not to worry as they have come forward themselves. The group is called OurMine and consists of several teenagers. Talking to TechCrunch, one of the members of the hacking group said:
“We don’t want other hackers to attack their servers, so we should protect their servers.”
He continued on to say that the group wants Niantic to contact them, so they can talk to them about the security of their servers. And if they refuse, then the whole group will start to attack their servers, so that the Pokemon Go experience is ruined for everyone around the world.
