The team at Pangu has been hard at work since the arrival of iOS 9, and after putting in a lot of effort, they have finally succeeded in their endeavor. The jailbreak tool for devices running iOS 9 and above is here. The jailbreak tool by Pangu works on iOS 9, 9.0.1, and iOS 9.0.2. The tool has indeed been made available, but a layman can’t just do it themselves without any instructions. This is where we come in as we have written this step by step guide that will help you jailbreak your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch without much of a hassle.
First thing you have to do is backup all of your data through iTunes.
Now you have to close iTunes and everything else running on the phone. If Xcode is running, turn it off as well.
Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
Now you have to download jailbreak tool which is available right here.
Turn Passcode off by going to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode. Then turn off Find my iPhone from Settings > iCloud > Find my Phone. After turning both of them off, enable Airplane mode.
Open Pangu 9 application that you downloaded in step 4. Just right click on the Pangu.exe file and select the option “Run as Administrator” . Pangu will start to identify your device which might take some time so be patient.
After the application has completely identified your phone, it will give you the option of “Start” . Click on it to get started.
You will be asked to back up your data, which you already did in Step 1, so just click on “Already Backup” option to begin the jailbreak process.
At 55%, your device will reboot, and upon restarting, you will be asked to enable Airplane mode once again. Enable it to continue the installation process.
After reaching 75% download, a prompt will pop up, asking you to unlock your device and run the Pangu app. Just find the Pangu app on your phone and tap on it.
After opening the app, you will be asked to “Allow” access to Photos. Just tap on “Allow” to continue.
Now you just have to sit tight and wait for the jailbreak process to reach 100%.
After the installation is done, Pangu tool will prompt you with the message that will read “Already Jailbroken.”
Now access your device and Disable Airplane mode.
Now go to the menu and look for the Cydia app. Upon tapping it, a prompt saying “Preparing filesystem” will appear which will take some time to get Cydia ready. The prompt will automatically disappear and your device will be restarted once again.
Congratulations, your device is now successfully jailbroken.
