In an effort to give a personalized touch to your feeds, Instagram is planning to show posts in order of relevance instead of posting them in chronological order.
Just like its parent company Facebook, the photo and video-sharing social networking firm is going algorithmic by organizing posts on the basis of their popularity, users’ closeness with the person sharing the post, and other related factors. This is done to ensure that the most relevant and important posts appear on top in the feed.
According to an official blog post, the new feature will be available in the coming months.
The Facebook-owned company has 400 million regular users and the amount is growing with time.
