The deed has been achieved by none other than the Chinese group Pangu.
In less than a month of its release, China-based hacking group Pangu has found a jailbreak for iOS 9. This hack will apparently work on iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch devices that are running iOS 9 through 9.0.2.
The jailbreak consists of a Windows software package which will allow users to jailbreak your device without needing to plug it into the computer.
Pangu has released this jailbreak for general public, and has claimed that it runs a security system called “rootless” that is designed to prevent malware.
After successful installation of the hack, users will be able to download Cydia, the framework that enables them to install unofficial apps on to their device.
Apple has already made many of the in-demand features available on its devices, so the jailbreak hardly comes off as necessary.
