The battery life of Android phones is nothing to write home about. It goes down pretty quickly, making it hard for you to get through the day without your phone dying on you. Previously, you could get around the problem by keeping spare batteries with you, but the latest smartphones are coming with irremovable batteries, thus taking away that option.
Don’t worry, the situation is far from hopeless. In fact, there are quite a few ways to ensure that your Android phone’s battery lasts longer.
Delete Unnecessary Apps
Most of the apps in mobile phones just stay there never to be used. You may not utilize them, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t exist and aren’t draining the battery. If you really want to get rid of your battery issue, then we suggest you get rid of the unnecessary apps right away.
Check Apps that Drain Battery
Once you have thinned the herd, it’s now time to look for the apps that literally suck the juice out of the battery at an unusually high rate. To find which app is draining your phone’s battery the most, go to Settings > Device > Battery. Here you will see a list of apps along with the percentage of battery they’re consuming. If there are apps that are using a lot of power, consider getting rid of them.
Get Rid of Unnecessary Widgets
Widgets do look great on the Home Screen, but they put a significant amount of load on the battery, causing it to drain faster. The best course of action here would be to get rid of the widgets that don’t help you or your device in any way.
Don’t Close Apps Manually
There is an exit button in every app but we don’t use it because we are accustomed to closing the apps manually. Know that this practice doesn’t help you or your device in any way. In fact, it sometimes damages your battery. The bottom line is that if you are using an app, close it from the menu via exit or quit option.
Turn Off GPS
You may have a habit of keeping your location feature, i.e. GPS, switched on for whatever reasons. However, it’s best that you keep it switched off when you’re not using location services. This would certainly give your Android’s battery life a huge boost.
Almost every function of the phone can be used in low brightness, but a lot of people are still adamant on using high level of brightness. You don’t have to be like them though. Just reduce the brightness and it will improve your battery life a lot.
We don’t really pay much attention to small details while using Android phone and end up damaging its battery, which ends up reducing its life by quite a few hours. When battery timing is already too low, losing a few hours can be a huge problem. This is why it is advised that you take good care of your phone and follow the aforementioned tips to reduce the unnecessary burden on the phone’s battery.
