Last month, Microsoft released the beta version of its web browser, Edge, both for Android and iOS devices. The ones who were testing the browser had to sign up to get special access to the browser but now Microsoft has launched the Android and iOS versions for the users. Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS users is officially available in the market and can be installed easily.
If you tend to do a lot of browsing on your phone than your desktop, then Microsoft Edge for mobile is the best pick for you.
The famous software brand has integrated its very own ‘continue to PC’ functionality directly into Microsoft Edge browser for Android and iOS versions, enabling users to open the website if it’s not loading properly on their mobile devices or if they want to continue working with the mouse and keyboard.
In fact, Microsoft’s web browser has some really interesting features apart from the ‘continue to PC’ functionality. It includes access to history, favorites, reading list, and eBooks. The only downside to Edge is that it doesn’t include the tab that syncs Edge for mobile, which means you can’t share history or tabs between your mobile device and your desktop computer.
However, Microsoft is working to support tab syncing and the iPad and hopefully should bring out sometime in the future. In fact, these two features wouldn’t arrive until next year so users have to wait for a bit more.
Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS can be downloaded from Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store.
