Microsoft’s time in smartphone market was incredibly short-lived and that was largely due to their inferior operating system. People preferred iOS and Android and went for them without even giving it a second thought.
Now the tech giant is looking to dive in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) and it does not want to make the same mistake again.
Speaking at WSJD live conference, CEO Satya Nadella admitted the smartphone failures, but says that the company is not looking to make the same mistakes with AR and VR.
At the moment, Microsoft is working on Hololens augmented reality gadget, which can do some amazing stuff, so there’s no surprise that the tech giant thinks that it is their future.
Microsoft hasn’t really announced any plans for VR but after today’s statement, it is pretty clear that they are definitely working on something, which they will hopefully reveal in the near future.
