The rumors were indeed true. A new and improved Office version will make its way to general public later this month.
At the end of last month, rumors circulated that Microsoft would release the latest version of Office on Sept. 22, but nothing official was announced. As of today, however, the rumors are confirmed to be right on the mark as Microsoft has officially revealed that the Office 2016 will indeed arrive on September 22.
Office customers with volume licensing agreements will be able to download the latest edition on October 1st.
The latest iteration of Office will come with several new features. There’s now a new co-editing feature that will allow you to edit more than one document at the same time. You will also be able you to sync all of your files to OneDrive in the cloud.
Of course, this is just a glimpse of the host of new features that Office 2016 will be bringing along. Microsoft assures that there will be other new exciting features present in the latest version, but information on them will start to roll out in the coming days.
