The high adoption rate has resulted from the lack of issues in the latest iteration of the mobile operating system.
Apple launched iOS 9 just a few days back, and in just this small period, more than 50% of Apple customers have updated to the latest version.
This is a big achievement, especially considering that the iOS 8 release was a disaster and a lot of people who switched to it had to reset their smartphones to downgrade to the previous, more stable and less buggy version.
However, it seems that Apple has learned from its mistakes and ran detailed tests on its latest operating system before the public roll out.
The tech giant’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Philip Schiller seemed quite happy over accomplishing this feat.
“iOS 9 is off to an amazing start, on pace to be downloaded by more users than any other software release in Apple’s history.”
He went on to add that the fans are pretty hyped-up over the upcoming iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, and the company is hard at work to ensure that the new offerings do not disappoint.
“Customer response to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has been incredibly positive, we can’t wait to get our most advanced iPhones ever into customers’ hands starting this Friday.”
iOS 9 has been a huge success and there will surely be people who would be eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new iPhones.
