Nearly after seventeen years of its debut, Nokia 3310 has been relaunched once again. Last Sunday in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress 2017, Nokia announced that it will relaunch its iconic mobile phone, 3310, which was initially released back in 2010.
Previously, Nokia launched its first android phone. When Nokia 3310 was launched back then, it became everybody’s instant favorite. The company had to produce more than 126 million phones until it was completely phased out in 2006.
To relaunch the phone, Nokia has joined hands with Finnish manufacturing company, HMD Global, to launch a new range of mobile phones.
So, how different will the updated model be from the original? The new Nokia 3310 will have an even better battery life than the original one. It will have a one-month standby time and 22 hours of talk time. Since it’s not a smartphone, you will get to enjoy a long battery life. There will no Facebook or Snapchat to take away the battery of the phone. Furthermore, the phone will also have a 2-megapixel camera with only 16 megabytes of memory. There will be various color options for this updated model. For now, the phone will be available in four colors – black, red, yellow, and grey. The launching price of the phone is €49 (£42/ $52).
Overall, the phone has got a basic shape. Unlike the sturdiness of the previous version, the new Nokia 3310 is a little smaller, thinner, and lighter all around.
The ‘Snake’ Game
Nokia’s website also says that the updated model of Nokia 3310 will also include the ‘Snake’ game that was on the original phone. This will surely give you a nostalgia.
Nokia is not running behind this game. At the same event, the company has also announced two new Android phones – Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. Along with them, the first Nokia smartphone, Nokia 6 will also be globally released.
