There was a time when Nokia was known as a leading cellular company in the market. However, after the launch of iPhone and Google’s Android operating system, the Nokia brand went down the drain. It continued to struggle since then.
But, much to your surprise, Nokia is back in the market once again. HMD, the current custodians of the Nokia brand, announced the launch of the first Nokia android phone, Nokia 6, on their website last Sunday. The Nokia android phone will be first exclusively released in China in early 2017. We made sure to give you a quick Nokia 6 review but before that let’s go through some if its breathtaking pictures!

Nokia 6 runs Android 7.0 Nougat which is the latest version. The phone has the following imminent features:
- A 5.5-inch 1080p, full-HD display wrapped in 2.5D Gorilla Glass
- 4 GB of RAM memory and 64 GB of internal storage
- An 8-megapixel front camera and 16-megapixel rear camera
- Dual SIM smartphone – backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery
- Twin amplifiers supported by Dolby Atmos tech for louder sound
The approximate price of the Nokia android phone is mid-range, 1,699 yuan ($245; £200). Initially, the phone was being made available in only black color but it seems now another option might be there. The silver color option will also be added to the list.
With Nokia 6, the Nokia brand finally seems to make a comeback in the mobile phone market. But, a slight disappointment has already started to shape up. HMD announced that Nokia 6 will only be launched as an exclusive to JD.com in China, and there are no such plans to release the phone for the rest of the world as of now. That means the other markets have to wait a little longer.
Let’s hope that the launch of Nokia 6 brings much-need fortune for the Nokia brand. Have a look at the Nokia 6 commercial.
