Oculus has partnered up with Microsoft, a partnership that will benefit both companies in the future.
After a long wait, Oculus revealed the final version of its highly anticipated virtual reality headset. However, it was Microsoft that really came up with the biggest surprise of the event as they revealed that Oculus Rift will come bundled with Xbox One upon its launch. Moreover, the headset users will be able to stream Xbox One games.
This news wouldn’t have been too surprising if Microsoft hadn’t revealed its own augmented reality headset called HoloLens earlier this year. It seems we will have to wait and see how both of these differ because as of now, it seems Oculus Rift is getting some awesome features.
It’s good to see virtual reality market finally getting the treatment it deserves. Microsoft is coming up with HoloLens, Oculus is coming up with Rift and Sony is also coming up with Project Morpheus, which also looks quite promising.
There’s no fixed release date provided for Oculus Rift VR headset just yet but it is expected to launch early next year.
