Oculus Rift will Now Run on Lower-End PCs

Facebook just revealed that Oculus Rift will no longer require a high-end computer, as low to medium tier PCs would do just fine.

This is an incredible decision because purchasing Oculus Rift for $800 and then building a PC for almost the same amount was expensive as hell. Not a lot of people could afford it. However, now that the headset works with low to medium tier PCs, you can expect it to sell a whole lot more.

Facebook also revealed that Oculus is working on a new VR headset which will work as a standalone, and won’t require phone or a computer.

If you can’t afford a PC and a VR headset at the price they are at, then you are better off waiting for the standalone VR headset which Oculus claims will be out soon.
