Samsung Note 8 Review – This New Phablet is a Beast

Samsung Note 7 was a disaster, literally. It blew up randomly for no particular reason and despite tech giant recalling every single piece and replacing them with a new one, it didn’t really help. Samsung Note 8 has the job of making people forget about the previous iteration and to deliver on all the features that people crave in the modern day devices. Basically, its job is to win back the consumers, and with the features and style it comes with, I doubt it will be much of an issue. Samsung Note 8 is remarkable in every way. Firstly, it doesn’t explode, which is a huge improvement from the previous iteration. Furthermore, it comes with one of the best designs that Samsung has ever done. The tech giant isn’t known for its design, but they were not taking any chances with Note 8 and have delivered one of the best looking phones to date. The great design is accompanied by equally amazing display which is sharp, fluid, and works awesomely.  Only downside is the low battery life, but that has become a norm these days, so that really shouldn’t worry you.

As mentioned before, the design is remarkable. This is easily Samsung’s best looking smartphone in the market. It is slick, smart, light, and looks really good. If you are into the looks of your device, then there is absolutely no reason to miss out on Note 8.

Samsung Note 8 comes equipped with Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset, Octa-core (4×2.35 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) processor, and Adreno 540 GPU. These amazing specifications are supported by 6GB of RAM. These specs are terrific, which means that you can go about your business without worrying about any kind of problems. In my experience with the new iteration, I didn’t face any stutters, slowdowns, or crashes, even under extreme conditions.

Note 8 boasts dual 12MP camera which features OIS, autofocus, 2x zoom, and dual LED flash. All of these features combined make for an epic camera that never fails in capturing the moments. The details it captures are awesome and it can be regarded as one of the best cameras available right now. Secondary camera is of 8MP and is equally fantastic. So if you take a lot of pictures, then you just can’t go wrong with Note 8.

Note 8 comes with the latest version of Android, and includes all the latest software that you might need. Stylus has been improved as well, and works brilliantly. If you were a fan of it previously, you will certainly enjoy it this time around.

Battery is the only thing holding Note 8 back – all the other features are top notch, but when it comes to battery, there isn’t much to impress. It barely lasts you a day, which means that you will be stuck recharging it every single day. This has become a norm though as most of the smartphones these days don’t last beyond one day. It is a bad norm, but we have to live with it for now, until something improves.

After the disaster that was Note 7, Samsung has recovered really well with Note 8. It wouldn’t be wrong to call it the best phablet available in the market right now because it is that good. It delivers on every front and does it flawlessly. Battery timing is the only issue, but if you can look past that, then there is absolutely no reason to miss out on Samsung Note 8.
