Samsung Pay Comes to the US

Samsung Pay Available For Closed Beta Testing in the United States

September 28 is the official release date of Samsung phone-based pay service in the U.S, which means the beta testing is available for exactly 30 days.

Samsung has launched a closed beta version of Samsung Pay for the Samsung users of United States. Users of Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 can sign up for closed beta testing only if they are eligible, as it is a “Special Invite Only” offer.

Samsung Pay accepts Visa, MasterCard, US Bank Visa cards and Bank of America. As of now, all major US carriers except Verizon are supporting Samsung Pay, with the latter yet to reach a decision.

Samsung Pay received a great feedback in Korea with 80,000 people using it within just a week of its release. The company is expecting a similar, if not more, response from U.S market as well, which is why it has released a beta version a month before its launch in region.

According to the company sources, it will be available in the U.S for everyone from September 28 onwards.
