Sony Xperia XA1 Review – A Phenomenal Mid-Ranged Smartphone

Sony just launched Xperia XA1 to appease its mid-ranged consumers and it’s fantastic. Not everyone can afford the top tier smartphones these days and for them XA1 is the best option. It comes with great display, remarkable camera, stylish look, and more than enough battery timing. All in all, Xperia XA1 is a noteworthy package, especially for those who can’t afford the top tier smartphones. Let’s get into more details and discuss the features that are included in the latest iteration from Sony.

Let’s talk about design first – Sony has never suffered from the design’s point and it isn’t any different this time around. Xperia XA1 is a stunning looking smartphone that looks pretty good due to its slim design. Furthermore, it’s sized at 5.2-inch which makes it pretty easy to hold and control. The charging cable attaches to the bottom whereas headphone jack is at the top. This allows users to charge their phone and listen to the audio without worrying about their wires getting tangled up.

Sony’s latest offering boasts MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core 64bit (Quad core 2.3GHz + Quad core 1.6GHz) processor that performs brilliantly. It makes all the tasks go smoothly and doesn’t get stuck no matter how much pressure you put on it. For a mid-ranged smartphone, that’s an amazing feat.

The main camera is of 23MP and comes with hybrid auto-focus feature. It also supports low-light images, 23mm wide angle F2.0 lens and can zoom up to five times. The results are stellar and there is no mid-ranged smartphone that even comes close to it.

Front camera is of 8MP and it also supports low-light images. 23 mm wide-angle shots are possible with it as well. The result of front camera is equally remarkable as it captures each and every detail. A lot of people get new phones just based on their cameras and if you are one of those people, then XA1 comes highly recommended.

Xperia A1 comes with the latest version of Android and as you may know, it contains a lot of bug fixes and runs way smoothly as compared to the previous versions.

Sony Xperia XA1 comes with 32GB of internal storage but you can extend that by getting your hands on an SD card.

Xperia XA1 gets shipped with 2300mAh battery, which is pretty decent and can easily last you for a day. To make things easier however, there is a Stamina mode that turns off some of the non-essential features to last battery a bit longer. It also has quick charging system which means that you won’t have to wait hours upon hours, just so you can fully charge it. It charges up quickly, hence saving you a whole lot of time.

Sony Xperia XA1 is an amazing smartphone – its processing power is great, the camera is phenomenal, quick charging system is in place, the design is perfect, and the best part of all – it doesn’t cost much. For a mid-ranged smartphone, it’s pretty awesome and I would highly recommend it to anyone who cannot afford one of the top tier smartphones.
