Despite getting rave reviews, Titanfall 2 didn’t manage to garner much attention and didn’t sell as much as developers would have liked. The main reason behind low sales was that it was launched between two highly anticipated shooters, Infinity Warfare and Battlefield 1.
The developer, Respawn understands that people have their preferences, but it is still hoping that people would give their game a shot. Titanfall obviously isn’t as well established franchise as other modern day shooters, which is why developers are giving everyone an opportunity to try the game out for free.
PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC users will be able to download the game on their platforms this weekend and play it without paying anything whatsoever. All of the progress made during these three days will carry over to the full game, if you decide to purchase it somewhere down the line.
Titanfall 2 has been nominated for Game of the Year and is receiving praise all around. If you haven’t had a chance to try it out before, then this free weekend is the best opportunity for giving it a shot.
