Twitter Unhappy with Current Growth Rate

Despite increase in monetization, Twitter isn’t happy with low growth rate.

Twitter has only seen growth since coming into existence. The popularity of the social networking platform has been on the rise, and in a recent report, Twitter cites that active user count for the platform has exceeded 316 million.

Now that is a huge number, but Twitter is not satisfied by it because they feel that the growth is not going as fast as they would have liked. The interim CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey made these remarks in a statement where he said:

“Our Q2 results show good progress in monetization, but we are not satisfied with our growth in audience.”

Twitter has always been compared to Facebook because they the two of the most popular social networks available at the moment. With Facebook catering to over 1.4 billion users, surely Twitter would be looking into different ways to attract more users towards its platform. But as of now, the growth rate of Twitter is rather slow, and it will take a miracle for it to catch up with the social networking giant.
