USB Killer is a USB stick that fries any system it is inserted into with a jolt of electricity. Previously, it was presented just as a concept, but now it has officially been made available for testing.
A counter for USB Killer called USB Test Shield has also been created by the same company and it is sold separately. So, if you are willing to give it a try, then you will need to get them both because one cannot function without the other.
Test Shield would be pretty useless if purchased without the Killer USB, and USB would just fry your system if you didn’t install Test Shield.
The developers claim that USB Killer has the ability to fry 95% of the hardware available at the moment. However, this does not include any Apple products. So those of you with Macs are safe.
It is still uncertain what the developers are looking to accomplish with this product and how it will help anyone in the society, but now that it’s out in the market, I guess we’ll find out pretty soon.
