Comic-Con was the place for VR devices as creators from around the globe came to showcase their product. Excited to see what they have in store for us, we try them out, and once again, we succumbed to severe headache. We have experienced the same thing before from using Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR and HTC Vive.
You are moving in the game, but you are not moving in real life. This is something that our mind just doesn’t adapt to, hence causing the headache. It starts out as something non-threatening, but more time you spend in VR devices, the worse it gets.
Virtual Reality is said to be the future of gaming, but the way it works is not user friendly at all. It causes severe headaches and it is very difficult to shake it off without taking an aspirin.
Gaming is supposed to be a fun thing that we do in our spare time to get away from the headaches. However, VR is going in quite the opposite direction altogether. Something needs to be done about this problem and it needs to be done rather quickly, otherwise VR will not be able to become mainstream, and will certainly not become the future.
