The feature only supports pictures captured and shared on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, though they’re viewable on Facebook app on all iOS 9 devices.
A new update for Facebook for iOS has brought support for Live Photos on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, though the photos captured and shared by the aforementioned Apple flagships will be viewable on any iOS 9 device.
You can upload Live Photos exactly the same way you upload your regular photos. Just go to your camera roll, select the image and tap “Live”.
Facebook plans to complete the global roll out of Live Photos by the end of 2016, with only a limited number of people currently enjoying access to the feature.
Facebook is only the second social networking platform to have introduced the support for Apple’s Live Photos, with Tumblr announcing support for the photo format only a few weeks back.
